The Brenton Center, established in 1995 through private gifts to the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, is a high-technology instructional center that extends the educational offerings of Iowa State University beyond ISU's physical campus. On August 21, 1995, classes began in the Brenton Center and consumers of educational programs in agriculture began harvesting the fruits of seeds planted in 1988. The Brenton Center's state-of-the-art educational facilities can serve as your on-campus location for seminars, conferences, the origination site for distance education offerings, or face-to-face classes.

Quaker Oats Conference Room - 008 Curtiss Hall The Quaker Oats Conference Room (008) is equipped to for IP video conferences, telephone audio conferences, and Internet web conferences using Adobe Connect. This room is equipped with one large screen, Elmo, computer, instructor camera, student cameras, microphones, and wireless Internet. It is suitable for graduate student final defenses, presentations, meetings, or classes. The room is configured with movable tables and seats 35. A small kitchenette is attached.

Video Capture Classrooms

Two video capture classrooms allow for face-to-face class or studio capture using the Accordent Capture Station to capture the instructor and computer desktop simultaneously or Camtasia Relay to capture audio and computer desktop. Course delivery can be streaming video/audio via BlackBoard, iTunesU, or CD/DVD.

Clifford V. Gregory Classroom - 009 Curtiss Hall

The Clifford V. Gregory Classroom (009) is equipped with two large screens, Elmo, computer, instructor camera, student cameras, microphones, and wireless Internet. It is equipped with movable tables and seats 35. This room has multi-point IP video conferencing and Adobe Connect conferencing capabilities.

John Deere Classroom - 013 Curtiss Hall

The John Deere Classroom (013) is equipped with four large screens, Elmo, computer, instructor camera, student cameras, microphones, and wireless Internet. This room has multi-point IP video conferencing and Adobe Connect capabilities. It has fixed tables that seat 56.
